    Muscat: First day of Eid Al Adha Announced in Oman on 20 July

    Dhu’l-Hijjah Moon Sighted

    The main committee for moon sighting has met on the evening of Saturday 29th Dhu’l-Qi’dah 1442 ah (10th July 2021)

    The committee has received evidence of sighting the crescent, therefore it decided after reviewing the evidence to approve the sighting of the crescent of month Dhu’l-Hijjah 1442 AH. Hence, tomorrow i.e. Sunday (11th July 2021) will mark the begining of Dhu’l-Hijjah 1442 AH, and Tuesday 10th Dhu’l-Hijjah 1442 (20th July 2021) will mark the beginning of Blessed Eid Al Adha.
