Muscat: First virtual reality games project launched in Oman

In a statement from ONA said: The first of its kind virtual reality games project in the state of Al Mudhaibi in the north of Al Sharqiya. “The idea of establishing a virtual reality project in the state came after a series of decisions and ideas that support the revitalization of the commercial and entertainment side,” said Issa bin Muhammad Al Hudaifi, one of the entrepreneurs.

He added that the project includes an interactive screen with balls, remote control cars and virtual football for children, in addition to 256 virtual reality films, 140 5D cinema films and 27 interactive films designed for shooting for adults.

He pointed out that in the future, hologram technology, which depends on optical patterns in image formation, 5D cinema, and virtual reality, will be introduced, and that among future plans is the development of the site to become more suitable for the nature of the game and more attractive to the target audience, and aspires to reach educational institutions such as schools and universities near the state.
