Foreign Minister visits Oman’s pavilion at the Berlin International Tourism Exhibition

Berlin: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today visited the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the Berlin International Tourism Exhibition in its 24th session.

He was briefed on what the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the exhibition is doing in introducing the tourism potential of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman and the natural and biological diversity it abounds in, in addition to various sporting activities, traditional arts and crafts, and the authentic traditions of Omani civilization.

He also reviewed the investment opportunities offered in the tourism sector, which reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment and openness to various investments and partnerships in this vital cultural, economic and humanitarian sector. His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride in the role of the Sultanate of Oman as an official partner of the Berlin International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, and the efforts made to strengthen the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman and develop it within the main axes of the “Oman 2040” vision, and the fact that this sector represents one of the pillars of sustainable economic development.

He pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman provides a unique and attractive tourist experience that combines modernity, ancient Omani cultural heritage, picturesque nature, and generous Omani hospitality.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the renewed renaissance under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq the Great – may God protect and preserve him – is proceeding with steady steps and a wise, inspiring vision that is primarily in the service and interest of Oman and the future of economic and social development.

His Excellency pointed out that the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing continuous growth and has the components and capabilities necessary to attract more tourists and investments in this field. His Excellency praised the participation of small and medium enterprises in this global exhibition in the heart of Europe, their pioneering role in innovation and innovation, and the diversity of services they offer.

He expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and all those working in the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman, and their activity and continuous contributions towards enhancing the position of the Sultanate of Oman as a distinguished tourist destination on the global level.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the efforts of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Berlin and its role within the framework of partnership with various relevant authorities in organizing and making the official sponsorship of the Sultanate of Oman successful in this year’s Berlin International Travel and Tourism Exhibition.

He also appreciated the facilities provided by the competent authorities in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the German Embassy in Muscat, which contributed greatly to the success of this global and exemplary Omani participation in the aforementioned exhibition.

It is noteworthy that the Berlin International Tourism Exchange is one of the most prominent international exhibitions and witnesses active participation from many countries and international travel and tourism companies.
