Forum on Modern Methods in Managing and Distributing Zakat Resources concludes in Manah

Manah: The sessions of the “Modern Methods in Managing Zakat Resources” forum, which lasted for three days, were concluded today at the Oman Through Time Museum in the Wilayat of Manah in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, which lasted for three days and was organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs with the participation of the agencies responsible for zakat in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The aim of the forum is to exchange expertise and experiences between the various parties participating in the forum, to introduce the zakat committees in the Sultanate of Oman to the zakat authorities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to demonstrate their efforts and social and pioneering role, and to motivate various sectors and institutions to support the work of the committees, and to cooperate with them in implementing programs and events.

About 150 researchers from zakat committees from various states of the Sultanate of Oman participated in the forum.

The closing day included the presentation of the third session of the forum, which contained working papers on the topic of “Modern Laws and Systems in Zakat Governance.”
