Foundation stone laid for Al Suwaiq Club investment building project

Suwaiq: Jusoor Foundation celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the Suwaiq Sports Club’s investment building project in the Wilayat of Suwaiq in the North Al Batinah Governorate, at a cost of RO 200,000 funded by OQ, Sohar Aluminium and Vale in Oman.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of HE Sheikh Issa Ahmed Al Mashani, Governor of Al Suwaiq, and in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Suwaiq Club and the management of the Foundation.

Sheikh Hamdan Sebaa Al Saadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Suwaiq Sports Club, stressed that this investment project will contribute to supplying the club’s sports, cultural and social activities with financial returns that will reflect positively on the desired results that the club’s management seeks to achieve, in addition to pushing various sports and youth activities forward.

It is established periodically in proportion to the financial income returned from this investment project after its implementation is completed.

Jaber bin Sulaiman Al Busaidi, Executive Director of the Jusoor Foundation, explained that the investment building project for the Suwaiq Sports Club comes within the cultural and sports field adopted by the Foundation, as the project is being built on a building area of ​​(1,100) square meters, and consists of two floors, the first floor is designed for exhibitions for rent. While the second floor was allocated with four open office spaces for rent in addition to parking for vehicles, indicating that the project implementation period is (18) months.

He explained that laying the foundation stone for the project comes as a continuation of the financing and cooperation agreement that the Jusoor Foundation signed with the club in May of this year.  Al Busaidi pointed out that the investment building project will be implemented in the Ghala Industrial Zone in Muscat Governorate, which is a vital and strategic location, while achieving local added value by appointing local companies to provide their services in the fields of engineering consultation and construction work for the project.

It should be noted that Jusoor Foundation seeks to achieve its goals in the sports and culture sector by supporting investment building projects for sports clubs in the North Al Batinah Governorate. This will be the sixth project for investment buildings implemented by Jusoor for clubs in the governorate after the previous investment buildings for the Sohar, Al Khaboura, Al Salam and Majis clubs, with a social investment value of Over RO 1 million.
