Fourth International Conference on Quality and Value Engineering to Kick off 21 February

Muscat: The Secretariat General of the Tender Board, in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour, will organize on 21 February, the 4th International Conference on Quality and Value Engineering.

The 2-day event themed “Value Engineering in the Age of Uncertainty” will be held in Grand Millennium Muscat.

This was unveiled during a press conference held by the organizing parties here today.

This year’s conference comes as a result of the global challenges faced by various world countries, as well as institutions and companies. These challenges, particularly the economic ones, require institutions to reconsider many things, including raising production capacity, improving performance and quality level, while maintaining financial efficiency and reducing costs.

The event aims at disseminating awareness on the importance of value engineering and the consolidation of the culture of value engineering, its permanence and the importance of using it to improve quality and raise efficiency.

The conference will discuss several topics, most importantly how to manage time and cost as essential elements in value engineering and the importance of teamwork for successful value engineering projects, as well as applying engineering in strategic projects in the water sector in Oman and in the big data project in the oil and gas exploration and production market in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). – ONA
