London: Represented by the Ministry of Information, the Sultanate of Oman presented two awards during its participation in the Foreign Press Association (FPA) Media Awards “Oscars of Journalism” annual ceremony held in London.
The first award targeted the category of “Travel Tourism Story of the Year”, while the second award targeted the category of “Best TV and Radio Story of the Year”. The step focuses on Oman’s commitment to supporting global media creativity.
The awards were handed over to the winning media professionals by Badr Mohammed Al Mantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The ceremony offered an opportunity to showcase Oman’s rich heritage and culture. It included the display of a short film, in addition to a gallery for Omani crafts and designs that reflect the country’s culture and heritage.
The ceremony was attended by a number of media professionals, artists, intellectuals and diplomats from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in London.
