Future Real Estate Opportunities Forum held in Oman’s Ibra

Ibra: The “Future Real Estate Opportunities Forum in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate” was held today in the Wilayat of Ibra, organized by the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and under the supervision of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

Mohammed bin Nasser Al Maskari, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Branch in North Al Sharqiyah, said in the opening speech of the forum: “We hope that the forum will be supportive of the economy and development, and that it will highlight the most important opportunities in housing plans with the aim of presenting investment opportunities in the states of the governorate.”

He pointed out that what was presented today was based on the urban strategy of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate towards directing investment to suitability that achieves integration between development activities to enhance the social and economic prosperity of the governorate and its people.

Eng. Khalid bin Nasser Al Mahrouqi, Director General of Real Estate Development at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, said, “Real estate development comes as a major enabler of implementing investment opportunities and one of the most important areas that receive great attention, and it is among the five sectors that have the most impact on the global economy and the most prominent opportunities, stressing that the Ministry worked to prepare a national plan to develop the sector in the Sultanate of Oman by studying and analyzing the current situation of the sector and transforming the challenges into initiatives that contribute to stimulating the sector and enhancing investment opportunities so that the real estate sector is a major contributor to the Omani gross domestic product.

The forum included two dialogue sessions, in the first session a visual presentation was presented on the modern urban style. The first paper in the session reviewed the Tatweer electronic platform, while the second paper was entitled “Real Estate Development, the Development Destination in the Sultanate of Oman.”

While the first paper in the second session of the forum reviewed real estate investment opportunities in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, the second paper was to introduce the “Sorouh” residential neighborhoods project, and the third paper presented a presentation on the use of the reference network in real estate development, in addition to addressing the most important challenges within the framework of real estate development.” Reality and Solutions” and focusing on the promotional and marketing aspect of real estate investment that supports the development of the tourism, economic and social sectors.

At the conclusion of the forum, His Excellency Dr. Mahad bin Saeed Baaween, Minister of Labor, opened the exhibition accompanying the event in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah and a number of Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council and governors.
