Future Skills and HRD Conference 2023 Kick Off

A two-day conference titled “Future Skills and Human Resource Development” began today. It is organized by Al Dar Al Arabiya for Data Analysis in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour.

The conference seeks to introduce a comprehensive and unified vision for educational institutions and employment departments through the development of an advanced educational system that keeps pace with labour market needs.

The conference studies key issues in the fields of education and technology and the challenges facing the employment sector in Oman.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Salem Mussallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development.

The chief guest stressed the importance of the conference as an opportunity to focus on future skills and human resources development.

He noted that the conference is being attended by a large gathering of specialists and officials from government and private institutions.

The conference, constituting part of the activities of the global higher education exhibition GEDEX, includes several working papers on the challenges facing work environment.

The event also underscores the significance of providing Omani youth with skills necessary for keeping abreast of current developments in the field of labour such as artificial intelligence.

Distinguished academic institutions and firms specialized in the development of future skills and human resources will be feted by awards during the conference.
