    • GCC higher education undersecretaries hold meeting in Muscat

    Muscat: The GCC undersecretaries of higher education and research held their preparatory meeting in Muscat today for the 23rd meeting of the committee of GCC ministers of higher education and research.

    The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Bukhait Ahmed Al Mahri, Undersecretary for Higher Education. The undersecretaries discussed implementation of decisions made at the 43rd session of the GCC Supreme Council pertaining to the general framework of studies and joint research of priority to sustainable development in the GCC states.

    During the meeting, the undersecretaries reviewed the projects of the Committee of GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Research in relation to strengthening joint Gulf action and following up the implementation of the committee’s strategic plan (2022-2026) and the most prominent initiatives. They also touched on several common topics that serve joint research cooperation among GCC states. – ONA
