GCC Secretary General Praises the role of Oman in resolving outstanding issues between Iran and Belgium

Riyadh: Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, praised the great role played by the Sultanate of Oman in compliance with the royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in settling the issue of the nationals detained in the Republic Islamic Iran and Belgium.

His Excellency the Secretary said that the good endeavors made by the Sultanate of Oman in resolving the issue of the nationals detained between the Iranian and Belgian governments, contributed to the mutual release of the nationals of the two countries, stressing the role of the long-standing Omani diplomacy in resolving outstanding regional and international issues.

His Excellency added that the GCC countries call for peace and stability in the region and the world, and always seek to contribute to regional and international issues by peaceful means and through diplomatic channels between all parties.
