German Vice Chancellor meets Omani and German businessmen

Muscat: Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of the Federal Republic of Germany, met with a number of Omani businessmen and their counterparts from the German side.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening economic and investment relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany and increasing trade exchange between them.

He stressed that he is looking forward to working to consolidate and enhance trade relations between the two sides, in preparation for more similar visits in order to discuss trade partnership relations in various sectors, especially the hydrogen sector.

He said: His presence with the trade delegation confirms the German government’s commitment to enhancing the trade and investment aspect in the region, especially the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al-Awfi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and their Excellencies the ambassadors of both countries.
