German Vice Chancellor visits Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Muscat: Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of the Federal Republic of Germany today visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the Wilayat of Bausher.

The guest and his accompanying delegation listened to a briefing on the history of the mosque’s construction and learned about the various Omani and Islamic architectural designs with which it was built.

He was briefed on the facilities included in the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, such as the Institute of Islamic Sciences, the library, the lecture hall and other facilities.

At the conclusion of his visit to the mosque, the guest recorded a speech in the VIP visitors’ register in which he expressed his admiration for the mosque’s magnificent designs and architectural arts, which are considered a distinguished model of Islamic architecture and its role in supporting and promoting Islamic studies.
