Muscat: The Department of Treatment Abroad Affairs at the Ministry of Health announced that, as part of the principle of transparency and in order to facilitate the completion of their transactions at the required speed, and as a matter of organization and adherence to ministerial decisions issued in this regard, the means of receiving citizens’ requests for treatment abroad can be submitted only through: Email: ([email protected]) Or via the WhatsApp service number: (24946385)
Keeping in mind that it is required that the application be sent clearly including the following attachments in order for it to be submitted to the National Committee for Treatment Abroad for study and decision:
1) The application letter must indicate the civil number and contact numbers of the application.
2) It must include a recent medical report from a government hospital in the Sultanate (the date of its issuance does not exceed the last six months).
3) Recommendation of a medical report from the patient’s attending physician that treatment is not available in government hospitals.
- Note that after presenting the application to the National Committee for Treatment Abroad within two working weeks, you will be informed of the committee’s decision via e-mail or via a text message via WhatsApp on the numbers that you attached to the application.
Location of the Treatment Abroad Affairs Department: The department’s headquarters is located in a separate building belonging to the Ministry of Health in Al Khuwair near Zakher Mall on the eighth floor.
