Google Developers Festival begins in Salalah

Salalah: The Google Developers Festival kicked off today in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The festival’s activities included a discussion session on artificial intelligence and innovation, in addition to 5 workshops that covered: developing web applications using Google technologies, the field of application development, business development using artificial intelligence, automation tools, generative artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

Hussam bin Jassim Baqwir, Head of Google Developers Group in Salalah, pointed out the differences that Google Developers Groups in the Sultanate of Oman have made in the lives of Omani youth, as they have contributed to enabling them to develop their technical skills and preparing them for the modern labor market over the past years, in addition to helping thousands of young people learn programming, developing artificial intelligence sites and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, which has contributed to launching pioneering projects and enhancing the spirit of innovation and creativity in society.

He stressed that the festival is distinguished by its special focus on artificial intelligence and its great impact on the economy and society.
