Green Hydrogen Summit Oman 2023 kicks off

Muscat: The third edition of the Green Hydrogen Summit Oman opens its activities at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC), with the participation of about 40 local and international companies, and displays the latest projects and modern technologies in the clean energy industry that work to accelerate the pace of energy transformation and stimulate sustainable energy solutions.

HE. Eng Salim Al-Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, patronizes the opening of Oman Green Hydrogen Exhibition.

His Excellency the Engineer, Minister of Energy and Minerals, says that the exhibition represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest techniques and technologies developed by international companies in this sector, looking forward to their direct contribution towards the energy transformation.

The exhibition unveils the first locomotive “truck” powered by hydrogen fuel, belonging to the German-made “BMW” company, with the participation of the Korean “Hyundai” brand, and the launch of the “Tahzeen” company, affiliated with the Omani National Engineering and Investment Company, which works in the field of sustainable energy storage.

Hydrom signs two development project and land usufruct agreements with the Salalah Green Hydrogen Alliance, and a memorandum of understanding with the Oman Investment Authority and Siemens Energy Company. To discuss the development, establishment and operation of an electrolyzer manufacturing facility in the Sultanate of Oman, and another memorandum of understanding with the Asyad Group for cooperation in the logistics sector to support the implementation of green hydrogen projects.
