H H Sayyid Fahd receives GCC Attorneys General

Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, today received participants in the 15th meeting of the GCC attorneys general, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.

After a welcoming note, HH Sayyid Fahd pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman is following up, with great sorrow and grief, the developments of events in the Palestinian territories and the ensuing negative repercussions that compounded the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people.

HH Sayyid Fahd expressed the hope that all offensives will be terminated and respect for rules of the International Law maintained.

“The Sultanate of Oman reaffirms its permanent support for all efforts being exerted to stop the attacks and demolition that led to massive loss of life and property, hoping that sincere efforts will succeed in the termination of the violence and resumption of negotiations to support security and stability in the region. Oman also hopes that the Palestinians will obtain their legitimate rights in their independent state,” HH Sayyid Fahd said.

HH Sayyid Fahd affirmed that GCC states strive to support greater communication among them by achieving everything that would meet the aspirations of GCC peoples.

“The judicial field receives the attention of GCC states and GCC regulations and laws have been unified. This contributed to facilitating litigation procedures in courts,” HH Sayyid Fahd explained.

He said that Oman attaches special importance to everything related to the judiciary and the development of adjudication to ensure the application of justice and the accomplishment of equality among all citizens in all rights and duties.

HH Sayyid Fahd also touched on some proposals related to the GCC Attorneys General’s meeting, which were approved and set on schedule.

The meeting reviewed topics on the agenda that aimed at consolidating benign endeavours to meet the aspirations of GCC states for a better future.

Meanwhile, the GCC attorneys general expressed their thanks and gratitude for Oman’s hosting the 15th meeting GCC attorney general and its strive to ensure the success of the GCC march

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and Attorney General Nasr Khamis Al Sowa’ee . – ONA
