Dr. Hilal Al Sabti Attends Founding Meeting of Children’s Issues Council

Geneva:  The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the first official meeting of the Leaders Council on Children’s Issues, held on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health and member of the Leaders Council.

The meeting marked the founding gathering of the Council members and brought together ministers, senior officials and international figures to discuss priority health and development issues related to children.

The Leaders Council focuses on promoting children’s health and well-being and combating violence against children through strengthening international cooperation and coordination.

The meeting provided a platform for exchanging views and approaches aimed at accelerating global efforts in these areas and reinforcing solidarity among participating countries.

Oman’s participation reflects its continued support for international humanitarian and health initiatives and its active engagement in United Nations platforms concerned with childhood and sustainable development issues.

The participation also underscores the Sultanate of Oman’s growing role in international health forums and its contribution to shaping global health action plans.
