Muscat: A number of governorates in the Sultanate of Oman including Muscat may witness heavy rainfall on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 12:00 pm till 10:00 pm.
According Oman Meteorology, the affected areas that may witness heavy rainfall are parts of mountains over Al Dakhiliya, Al dhahirah, North Al Sharqiya and Muscat.
Oman Meteorology forecasts thundershowers ranging between (10-30)mm , downdraft winds , poor horizontal visibility during thundershowers and chances of flash floods (wadis).
The Meteorology has advised people to immediately move away from low places and wadis and do not attempt to swim in wadis, do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle.
It has also recommended people to supervise their children and make sure they stay away from approaching or crossing wadis (valleys) to ensure safety.
