Muscat: Continued heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of North Al Batinah Governorate (Liwa and Shinas) and Buraimi Governorate (Madha) according the latest statement from Oman Meteorology (MET).
In a statement MET said: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies over most of the governorates with chance of thounderstorms associated with downdrafts and hail causing flash floods over Al Buraimi, AL Dhahira, North ALBatinah, South AL Batinah, AL Dakhylia, Muscat, North AL Shargiya , South AL Shargiya, Al Wusta and Dhofar
Chance of low clouds or fog patches at late night to early morning along the coasts of Arabian Sea
Alert: Horizontal visibility might reduce during thunderstorms Downdrafts ,hail and flash floods
Met also said: The activity of south-easterly winds over most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman may lead to the rise of dust and dirt and a decrease in horizontal visibility at times
