    Alert 2 for Heavy rainfall expected over Sultanate of Oman

    Muscat: Heavy rainfall expected over Sultanate of Oman including Muscat starting Monday 6 am according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

    In a statement CAA said: “Affected areas Weather forecast Musandam ,North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhyliah, Al Dhahira Muscat , North Al Sharqiya and South Al Shargiya

    The CAA also said rainfalls ranging (40-80) mm Downdraft wind (15-35) knots Poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during thundershower Hail Flash floods (wadis)

    To ensure safety Immediately move away from low places and wadis, and do not attempt to swim in wadis Do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle

    Keep an eye on children and never allow them to approach wadis
