Heavy rains in Oman: Remote learning announced in Private Higher Education Institutions on March 10
Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation announced the suspension of university studies tomorrow, Sunday, 10 March 2024 in vocational colleges and the transfer of studies to private higher education institutions remotely in the governorates of Al-Dhahirah, Al-Buraimi, South Al-Batinah, North Al-Batinah, Muscat, Al-Dakhiliyah, North Al-Sharqiyah, and South Al-Sharqiyah, due to the weather condition which the Sultanate of Oman is currently affected by.
The Ministry explained that the management of these institutions has the decision to resume regular classes on Monday or not, according to the circumstances surrounding each institution and the consequences of the weather condition.
