Heavy rains to continue in parts of Oman: Meteorology

The Directorate General of Meteorology indicated that rain clouds began to affect the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi, with rains of varying intensity, extending during daylight hours to the governorates of South Al Batinah, Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahirah, and the Al Hajar Mountains.

Aerial photographs show the continued chances of cloud formation and flow over the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North and South Al Batinah, Muscat, and North and South Al Sharqiyah today, Wednesday, with chances of rain of varying intensity and the possibility of clouds forming on the Hajar Mountains and sporadic rain. 

The “meteorology” noted the increasing chances of reefs and valleys running off and water gathering in low places due to the continuity of precipitation and soil saturation, calling for caution and caution. 

It also noted a rise in sea waves on the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Sea of ​​Oman today, Wednesday, in addition to a noticeable decrease in temperatures, starting today.
