HH Sayyid Theyazin launches the ‘Tanmia’ app for municipal councils

Sayyid Theyazin presides over 2023 Municipal Councils Symposium

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, sponsored the opening of the 2023 Municipal Councils Symposium, which is organized by the Ministry of Interior for two days.

The symposium includes 4 sessions during which 6 working papers are presented that review in their entirety the development of the work of municipal councils through the theses of specialists and listening to the visions of council members and their proposals aimed at improving and improving the work.

Sheikh Dr. Shihab bin Ahmed Al-Jabri, Advisor to the Minister of the Interior for Legal Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Symposium, said that the Ministry is keen to achieve the objectives of this symposium through the presented working papers that address the developmental and societal aspects entrusted to members of municipal councils to develop the governorates, taking into account that its work does not overlap with the jurisdictions of councils and institutions.

It is the digital interface for municipal councils and a link between Omani society and municipal councils in the governorates, and to enhance communication, transparency and trust between individuals and institutions, which leads to achieving development.
