HH Sayyid Theyazin Watches Omani-Qatari Falcon Eye 1 Exercise

Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, today graced the final practical demonstration of the joint Omani-Qatari security exercise titled “Falcon Eye 1/2023”. The drill was carried out by the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and Qatar’s Emiri Guard during the period from 17 to 27 September 2023.

HH Sayyid Theyazin listened to a briefing on the stages of the joint security exercise. He took note of the significance of holding the drill jointly with other countries as a means of enhancing cooperation in security fields, exchanging experiences and improving operational capabilities to handle emergency situations.

After that, participants from the Omani and Qatari sides engaged in the demonstration, which highlighted their readiness in dealing with potential security scenarios.

The exercise was also aimed at maintaining a high level of performance and combat ability.

The practical demonstration of the joint security drill was attended by Lt. Gen Hazza Khalil Al Shahwani, Commaner of the Emiri Guard of the State of Qatar, Maj. Gen Salim Ali Al Hosni, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO), Maj. Gen Sulaiman Khalid Al Zakwani, Secretary General for Military Affairs at Royal Office, the Military Attaché at the Qatari Embassy in Oman and several senior officers of the RGO, military and security units, as well as officers of Qatar’s Emiri Guard. – ONA
