Higher Education Ministry Launches ‘We are Oman’ award for the academic year 2023/2024

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation today launched the “We are Oman” award for the academic year 2023/2024 within the context of the educational program for students of higher education institutions and scholarships within an important national project and an empowering and educational tool for students to support and guide them so that they can highlight and invest in their talents in effective ways in various scientific, societal, industrial, humanitarian and environmental fields.

The award launch ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

Dr. Maryam bint Bel Arab Al Nabhani, Director General of Private Universities and Colleges, said in the Ministry’s speech that the launch of the We are Oman Award for the academic year 2023/2024 for students and higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman comes as an affirmation of the supreme directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the importance of the fundamental role of higher education institutions in creating outcomes that are aware and capable of dealing with the enormous and daily changes in contemporary life by strengthening national belonging, taking pride in national achievements, forming awareness of the components of the state, the government’s goals, and the Oman Vision 2040, and by adhering to the Omani identity and values, high morals, and awareness of the values ​​of citizenship. And enhancing awareness in all innovative, research, cultural, scientific, artistic and other fields.
