Muscat: Thursday, 20 July 2023 has been announced as an official holiday for employees of the public and private sectors on the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Hijra Anniversary and the advent of the new Hijri year 1445 AH.
This was stated in a ministerial decision issued by the Ministry of Labour reading as follows: “On the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Hijra Anniversary and the new Hijri year 1445 AH, Thursday, 20 July 2023 has been set as an official holiday for employees of the State’s Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities, as well as establishments of the private sector.
