    • His Majesty confers Medal of Honour on Dr Mikhail Piotrovsky

    Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has conferred the Order of Felicitation on Professor. Mikhail Piotrovsky, Chairman of the Russia Museums Authority, Director General of the Hermitage Museum and member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman.

    In appreciation for his efforts and contributions in promoting cultural cooperation between the National Museum and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, and for his role in boosting cultural and civilizational promotion between the Sultanate of Oman and Russia.

    The order was handed over by Sayyid Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, in the presence of Jamal Hassan Al Musawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum and the chargé d’affaires of the Russian Embassy to Oman. -ONA
