His Majesty Congratulates New Amir of Kuwait

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent cable of congratulation to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, on the occasion of His Highness taking the constitutional oath and assuming the reins of government in the sisterly State of Kuwait.

His Majesty expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Highness for success in leading the brotherly Kuwaiti people to achieve more of the progress, advancement and prosperity they aspire to. His Majesty stressed the depth of the fraternal relations that bind the two countries and the endeavor to support and strengthen them, in a way that serves the common interests of the Omani and Kuwaiti peoples.
