Muscat: With full faith in the Almighty Allah’s divine destining, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received the news of death of Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A statement was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court to this effect. It reads as follows: “With full faith in the Almighty Allah’s divine destining and judgment and, with profound sorrow and grief, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received the news of death of Dr. Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the delegation that accompanied him in a helicopter crash yesterday (Sunday).

The late president was renowned for his benign contributions and sincere efforts to realize understanding, maintain peace and harmony during his presidential term.

While sharing the Iranian leadership, government and people their sorrows and grief over this immense loss, the Sultanate of Oman prays to the Almighty Allah to rest their souls in peace in Paradise”.
