His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik

Muscat:  His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik,  issued two Royal Decrees on Monday 18 January 2021

Royal Decree No. 10/2021 appointing Dr. Muhammad bin Nasser bin Ali Al-Zaabi as Secretary-General at the Ministry of Defense with the rank of Minister.

Royal Decree No. 11/2021 to conduct military promotions and appointments

After perusal of the Basic Law of the State and based on the requirements of the public interest, the following.

Article One

Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al Raisi is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General and appointed as the  the Sultan’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff

Article Two

Air Commodore Khamis bin Hammad bin Sultan Al Ghafri is promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed as the Royal Air Force of Oman’s Commander

Article Three

Commodore Saif bin Nasser bin Mohsen Al-Rahbi is promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed as the Royal Navy of Oman’s Commander

Article Four

Air Commodore Eng. Saleh bin Yahya bin Masoud Al-Maskari is promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed as the National College of Defence’s Commandant

Article Fifth

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the date of its issuance.
