His Majesty Sultan Haitham Meets Sheikhs and Dignitaries of Musandam Governorates

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived today in the Governorate of Musandam on a Royal meet-the-people tour during which he will closely inspect aspects of social and economic development. His Majesty will also meet sheikhs, dignitaries and some members of the Council of Oman, members of the Municipal Council and the business community in the governorate.

When the Royal Yacht, Fulk Al Salamah, approached the coastline, it was surrounded by a group of ships and boats boarded by local citizens. The flotilla was draped with the flag of the Sultanate of Oman and adorned with His Majesty the Sultan’s portraits, in a manifestation of warm welcome for the auspicious Royal visit.

His Majesty the Sultan greeted the loyal citizens, exchanged with them ardent sentiments and welcomed their hospitable reception.

When the Royal Yacht entered the Port of Khasab, two folklore troupes presented the art of Al Nadba, one of the governorate’s most famous traditional arts. As His Majesty the Sultan disembarked, another group of citizens presented the sung art of Al Razfa.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan headed to Saih Al Mahasin valley in the wilayat of Khasab, where the people of the governorate came out in large numbers and lined both sides of the road.

The citizens welcomed His Majesty the Sultan and chanted expressions of loyalty and gratitude.

His Majesty the Sultan reciprocated the gestures, waving back in recognition for the citizens’ noble feelings. The interaction reflected the deep-rooted solidarity between the leader of Oman’s Renewed Renaissance and the loyal public.      – ONA
