    • His Majesty Sultan Haitham receives US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

    Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, may God protect him, received this morning at Al Baraka Palace today His Excellency Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State, who arrived in the Sultanate today.

    During the meeting, aspects of the existing bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate and the United States were reviewed within the framework of the strong relations that bind them and matters of mutual interest between the two sides.

    The US Secretary of State said during his arrival to the Sultanate, saying: I look forward to meeting Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to discuss efforts to strengthen unity among the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and advance regional peace and prosperity.
