Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, today conferred the Medal of Royal Commendation, Excellent Service and Proficiency on a number of senior officers of the Royal Oman Police (ROP)
HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, pinned the medals on the meritorious officers. The ceremony was held at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences as part of celebrations marking the ROP Day.
HH Sayyid Theyazin congratulated the officers on this honour, which, he said, “comes in appreciation of the continuous efforts of the ROP personnel for the advancement of this dear country under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.”
The event was attended by Lt.Gen Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, Maj.Gen Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Maj.Gen Khalifa Ali Al Siabi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and several senior ROP officers.
