Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued three Royal decrees reading as follows:

Royal decree No. 94/2022 conducts placements in some positions.

Article (1) appoints the following as stated below: –

Dr. Wa’il bin Saif bin Salim Al Harrasi as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs

– Dr. Said bin Harib bin Mannaa Al Lamki as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs

– Mohsin bin Hamad bin Saif Al Hadhrami as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and Dr. Munthir bin Hilal bin Badr Al Busaidi as Deputy Chairman of Oman 2040 Implementation Unit, with the Special Grade.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal decree No. 95/2022 establishes a Medical City for Military and Security Units and promulgates its bylaw.

Article (1) sets up a medical city to be named “Medical City for Military and Security Units” that shall have a legal entity, shall enjoy financial and administrative autonomy and function in accordance with the system (bylaw) attached.

Article (2) states that the Medical City for Military and Security Units shall have its headquarters in Muscat Governorate and that, under a decision by its board, it may establish branches in other governorates.

Article (3) stipulates that all the allocations, origins, rights obligations and assets of Medical Services in the departments mentioned below shall be transferred to the Medical City for Military and Security Units. The departments are stated as follows: The Royal Office, the Ministry of Defence, the Royal Oman Police, the Royal Court Affairs, the Internal Security Unit, the Royal Guard of Oman and the Sultan’s Special Force.

It also stipulates that occupants of medical and paramedical jobs and other personnel of the Medical Services in the above-mentioned departments shall be transferred to the Medical City for Military and Security Units, along with their existing ranks, financial grades and financial allocations.

The implementation of provisions of this Article shall be in accordance with the mechanism and regulations endorsed by the Board of Directors of the Medical City for the Military and Security Units, after coordinating with the Commanders-in-Chief and Commanders of the military and security units.

Article (4) states that the Chairman of Board of Directors of the Medical City for Military and Security Units shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary for the application of provisions of this decree and the bylaw. Till such time, the regulations and decisions that are in force in the departments mentioned in Article (3) of this decree shall continue to be enforced, where no specific text in this regard is stated in this decree or the attached system, and without prejudice to its provisions.

Article (5) cancels all that contradicts this decree or the attached system or contravenes their provisions.

Article (6) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal decree No. 96/2022 appoints a Chairman for the Medical City for Military and Security Units.

Article (1) appoints Eng. Odai bin Hilal bin Nasser Al Ma’awali as Chairman of the Medical City for Military and Security Units, with the Special Grade.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue. – ONA
