Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today made a telephone call to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey. He expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to President Erdogan and the friendly people of Turkey on victims of the recent destructive earthquake. He wished the injured quick recovery.

In the telephonic conversation, His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed Oman’s stand in commiseration with Turkey, hoping that the country will overcome the impacts of this natural disaster. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to help the friendly people of Turkey overcome the crisis and to spare them all calamities.

On his part, President Erdogan expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for his kind initiative and noble humanitarian sentiments. He valued Oman’s solidarity with the Turkish people, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty the Sultan and Omani people and to spare them all evils. – ONA
