Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received a written message from President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, dealing with bilateral relations between the two countries.
The message was received by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi during his meeting today with the Mauritanian President’s envoy Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr and the Mauritanian envoy discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries’ peoples. They also exchanged views about regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Faisal Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department, Mohamed Vall Ould Ahmed, Mauritanian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and officials from both sides. – ONA
