Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from President Yoweri Museveni of the Republic of Uganda. The message is related to bilateral relations between Oman and Uganda.
It also includes an invitation for His Majesty to attend the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, scheduled to be held in the capital Kampala in January 2024.
The message was handed over to Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi when he received in his office today Ambassador Adonia Ayebare, Envoy of the Ugandan President and Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed march of the bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various areas to serve the joint interests. They also exchanged views on a set of regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry. – ONA
