His Majesty views Singaporean efforts to benefit from technology and Future Outlooks

Singapore: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik views, in his place of residency in Singapore, two presentations on the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office and the Centre for Strategic Future, within His Majesty’s current stat-visit to Singapore.

As part of his State Visit to the Republic of Singapore, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik watched two visual presentations at his residence in the Singapore – one about the “Office of Smart Nation and Digital Government” and the other about “Singapore Future Foresight Council”

His Majesty the Sultan took note of the role of the “Office of Smart Nation and Digital Government” in developing a smart society, digital economy, and advanced government thinking, notably steps to reach a technology-dependent state and build strategies to tap the benefit of the digital revolution.

His Majesty was also briefed about the tasks of the Future Foresight Council, entrusted with devising forward-looking plans and strategies for the Singaporean government to help overcome emerging challenges. The Council takes measures to empower the capabilities of strategic forecasting, risk management, and future visions. The two visual presentations were attended by the delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and a number of Singaporean officials.
