Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) confirmed that the royal directives from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, aim to establish an industrial city in Seih Al Wasat in the Wilayat of Madha, and establish a number of model factories. The prefabricated building in Mahas Industrial City in the Wilayat of Khasab and the Wilayat of Madha will have a profound impact on empowering the industrial sector in Musandam Governorate in particular and the Sultanate of Oman in general.

Eng. Daoud bin Salem Al Haddabi, CEO of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, indicated that implementing his royal directives, will contribute directly to the growth and development of other economic sectors, diversifying sources of income, and employing more Omani cadres.

He explained that the continued high interest of His Majesty – in establishing new industrial cities and developing existing ones in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman enhances Madayn’s vision of providing business cities with international standards based on partnership, and achieving its mission to be the government arm promoting comprehensive and sustainable economic and social development.

This is done through partnership with the private sector to develop and operate full-service business cities that respond quickly to changes, rely on the best solutions and technologies, and meet business needs and requirements while taking into account environmental standards, thus attracting foreign investments and localizing national capital.

He added that these directives stimulate the private sector to contribute to achieving sustainable and comprehensive economic and social development, introducing modern technology and providing workers with the technical skills necessary to develop their production, encouraging exports and developing international trade, encouraging the establishment of export industries, as well as activating the economic sectors operating in the Sultanate such as: the transportation sector, and the Banking, tourism, and other sectors.
