Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued three Royal Decrees.
Royal Decree No. (68/2023) on promulgation of the Public Debt Law, after presenting the same before the Council of Oman.
Article (1) states that provisions of the Public Debt Law attached to this decree shall be enforced.
Article (2) stipulates that the Minister of Finance shall issue the Bylaw (executive regulation) for the attached Law, as well as the regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of its provisions. Until then, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be enforced without prejudice to the provisions of the attached law.
Article (3) cancels all that contradicts the attached law or contravenes its provisions.
Article (4) says that this decree shall be be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. (69/2023) on promulgation of the Tourism Law, after presenting the same before the Council of Oman.
Article (1) states that the provisions of the Tourism Law attached to this decree shall be applied.
Article (2) states that the Minister of Heritage and Tourism shall issue the bylaw (executive regulation) of the attached law, as well as the regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of its provisions. Till such time, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be enforced without prejudice to the provisions of the attached law.
Article (3) cancels Royal Decree No. 33/2002 on the Tourism Law, as well as allthatcontradicts the attached law or contravenes its provisions.
Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced after six months of its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. (70/2023) conducts transfers and placements in the Diplomatic Corps.
Article (1) transfers the following ambassadors to the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry:
1.Dr. Said Mohammed Ali Al Bar’ami, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco.
2.Najeeb Yahya Zeerok Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.
Article (2) grants the following the title of Ambassador and appoints them as follows:
1.Khalid Salim Ahmed Bamkhalif, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco.
2.Ahmed Mohammed Nasser Al Araimi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the French Republic.
3.Assayida Wafa Jabr Nasser Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
4.Mal Allah Mahmoud Sha’ban Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Hungary.
5.Sheikh Fahd Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Ojaili, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
6.Fahd Sulaiman Khalaf Al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
7.Nasraa Salim Mohammed Al Hashimi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Kenya.
8.Saif Rashid Saif Al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Turkiye.
9.Sayyid Ammar Abdullah Sultan Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.
Article (3)says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue. -ONA
