Holy Quran competition begins in Al Batinah North Governorate

Sohar: The preliminary qualifiers for the Holy Quran competition began in the states of North Al Batinah Governorate, which is supervised by the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the governorate, as part of the activities of the North Al Batinah Ramadan Festival “Siraj”, with the participation of 1565 contestants, and it will continue until the 17th. from Ramadan.

The competition includes five levels: the first level memorizing five parts of the Holy Qur’an, the second level memorizing four parts, the third level memorizing three parts, the fourth level memorizing two parts, and the fifth level memorizing one part of the Holy Qur’an, where more than 49 judges evaluate Contestants in a number of mosques and mosques in the province’s states.

The competition aims to encourage youth and young people to memorize the Holy Book of God, improve it and ponder its meanings, and motivate them to exert efforts in memorizing and contemplating during the blessed month of Ramadan.
