    • Holy Quran memorization contest for People with Disabilities in Salalah

    Salalah: The preliminary qualifiers for the Holy Quran memorization competition for the academic year (2022/2023) were held in the hall of the General Directorate of Education in Dhofar Governorate, Salalah, for students with hearing and visual disabilities, with the participation of a number of students from integration classes in various schools in the governorate.

    The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education at the level of the Sultanate of Oman, targeted students with hearing and visual disabilities in their schools and institutes, and the integrated classes in educational directorates.

    The competition includes 3 levels, the first level is for students in grades 10-12, the second level is for grades 5-9, while the third level is for students in grades 1-4.

    The competition levels consist of several courses, such as the original course and the first alternative course, in addition to the second alternative course. Each course includes different surahs from the Holy Qur’an, with the full application of the provisions of recitation during the evaluation.

    The Holy Quran memorization competition aims to urge children to adhere to the teachings of the true religion, to understand the meanings, and to spread the culture of memorization and mastery of recitation and intonation.
