Hospital in Oman explains about the death of a citizen after undergoing liposuction

Muscat: Gulf Specialized Hospital issued a clarification saying that it followed what was circulated on social media about the death of citizen Munira Al-Muqbali after undergoing liposuction in the hospital.

In a statement the hospital said in its tweet:  that the surgeon who performed the operation is not affiliated with them, but rather rents the hospital’s operating rooms, and he works for another private institution.

Gulf Specialized Hospital confirmed that the matter has been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures.

It is worth noting that this clarification from Gulf Specialized Hospital came in response to an interview with Ghaith Al-Shibli, the deceased’s husband, on “Hala FM” radio, where the husband confirmed that his wife decided to undergo liposuction in the Sultanate, and they went to a private hospital in Muscat. , As the operation cost them 1600 riyals, and after the operation, the wife became tired and had a hemorrhage, which led to her death.
