Hotel revenues exceed RO 186mn by October 2024

Muscat: The revenues of 3-5 stars hotels in the Sultanate of Oman stood at OMR 186.980 million at the end of October 2024, up by 5 percent compared to OMR 177.182 million by the end of October 2023.

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information showed that the total number of guests in these hotels increased by 5 percent, recording about 1,717,512 guests by the end of last October, compared to 1,635,041 guests by the end of October 2023, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 1.3 percent.

The statistics showed that the number of Omani guests increased by 5.7 percent to reach 668,251 guests, while the number of Gulf guests decreased by 0.8 percent to reach 170,193 guests.

The number of other Arab guests recorded 85,809 guests, an increase of 11.5 percent, and the number of European guests increased by 8.8 percent to reach 392,767 guests.

The number of guests from the Americas reached 47,212 guests, an increase of 2.2 percent, the number of guests from the African continent reached 10,074 guests, an increase of 5.4 percent, the number of Asian guests increased by 4.5 percent to reach 250,903 guests, while the number of guests from Oceania decreased by 31.2 percent to reach 24,517 guests.
