Hotel revenues in Oman grow 26.4% to RO153 million

Muscat: The revenues of 3-5 stars hotels in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of September 2023 exceeded RO 153 million, recording an increase of 26.4 percent compared to corresponding period in 2022, which amounted to RO 121 million. 

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the total number of guests in these hotels increased by 27.3 percent, recording 1,439,150 guests at the end of last September, compared to 1,130,668 guests in the same period in 2022, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 10.1 percent.

The number of Omani guests reached 567,447 guests, an increase of 6.9 percent, while the number of Gulf guests increased by 27.6 percent, recording 156,703 guests, and the number of European guests increased by 43.4 percent, reaching 295,155 guests.

The number of Americas reached 41,79 inmates, recording an increase of 1.8 percent, while the number of African continent reached 8,361 and increase of 41.2 percent, while the number of guest from Asian countries increased by 43.6 percent to reach 213,980, and the number of guest from Oceania increased by 30,898, an increase of 204.5 percent.
