Hotel Revenues in Oman Up 26.3% to RO 138m in August 2023

Muscat: The revenues of 3-5 star hotels in Oman stood at RO 138,300,000 as by the end of last August 2023, up by 26.3% compared to revenues to 109.5 million the end of August 2022. The occupancy rate in these hotels increased to 46.3%, according to statistics published by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI)

As for the number of guests, their number rose to 1.2 million guests at the end of last August, by 26.7%, compared to one million guests at the end of August 2022. Citizens were the most prominent people who stayed in these hotels, with 499.8 thousand guests, followed by European guests, with 275.6 thousand guests, then Asians amounted to 187.4 thousand guests, and the number of Gulf guests in these hotels reached 137.3 thousand guests.

On the other hand, the revenues of these hotels increased during the month of August to 15.8 million Omani riyals, compared to 12.4 million Omani riyals last July.

As for the number of guests during the month of August, it rose to 184.8 thousand guests, compared to 156.7 thousand guests during last July. Citizens were the most prominent people who stayed in these hotels with 87.6 thousand guests, followed by Gulf guests with 37.1 thousand guests, then Asians with 23.5 thousand guests. The number of European guests reached 15.9 thousand guests.

Note that the number of guests in hotels (3-5) during March 2023 reached 166.6 thousand guests, and during last April their number reached 134.2 thousand guests, and in May the number reached 135.1 thousand guests, and in June 2023 the number of guests reached 140.4 thousand guests.
