Muscat: Huawei’s programme for 2023 in the Sultanate of Oman, codenamed “Seeds for the Future” kicked off today under the patronage of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The programme is supported by Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel).
The programme aims to groom the skills of undergraduates and fresh graduates. It also seeks to exchange knowledge, promote innovation and increase awareness regarding the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.
During the “Seeds for the Future” programme, the “Tech4Good” regional competition will be held in a bid to promote social entrepreneurship, problem solving skills and leadership through teamwork.
The regional competition brings together youth to explore means of utilizing digital technology in tackling social issues. – ONA
