Ibra Referral Hospital Introduces New Urology and Paediatric Surgery Device

Ibra:  Ibra Referral Hospital today launched a surgical endoscopy system for urological and paediatric surgery, with support from Oman LNG, at a total cost of RO 249,635.

The launch of the system comes within the Ministry of Health’s efforts to improve healthcare services for citizens and residents and introduce modern medical technologies that contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare.

The inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Dr. Faisal bin Ali Al Zaidi, Wali of Al Qabil.

Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jabri, Director of Ibra Referral Hospital and Senior Consultant in Accident and Emergency Medicine, said that the launch of the system aims to enhance diagnostic efficiency and improve treatment services provided by the hospital.

He added that the project contributes to localizing advanced surgical services at the hospital and supports cooperation with private sector institutions.

Dr. Ahmed explained that the surgical endoscopy unit for urology and paediatric surgery will provide advanced medical services to patients from the governorates of North A’Sharqiyah, South A’Sharqiyah and Al Wusta.

He noted that the device will help reduce the number of treatment sessions required, improve patient comfort, reduce pain, minimize referrals to tertiary hospitals and ease the burden of travel for treatment.
