Muscat: The marketing campaign for Gheras Endowment Investment Fund, hosted by Imam Jabir bin Zaid Waqf Foundation, is set to launch tomorrow in collaboration with Ubhar Capital and ELTIZAM – Sharia Financial Consultancy. This comprehensive initiative will feature informative tours across various governorates of the Sultanate, aiming to provide a detailed introduction to the fund’s offerings and benefits.
Through these visits, the foundation aims to engage with endowment institutions, Waqf agents, and individuals with a keen interest in endowments to introduce the fund. The goal is to explain the subscription process, ways to join, and provide insights into the technical aspects of participating.
The Imam Jabir bin Zaid Waqf Foundation intends to organize these tours to emphasize on the pivotal role the fund will play in providing opportunities for the growth of endowment assets. This, in turn, will benefit the endowment itself, the endower (donor), and the beneficiaries. Additionally, the initiative aims to achieve financial sustainability and growth.
The inaugural gathering will take place tomorrow, Monday, in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate, while the second gathering is scheduled for Wednesday of the same week in Dhofar Governorate. Subsequently, three additional tours are planned in the second week of December – the Sunday session will be held in Al Batinah Governorate, followed by an introductory session in A’Sharqiyah Governorate (Eastern) on Tuesday. The series of introductory gatherings will conclude in Muscat on Thursday, 14 December.
Regarding the importance of these awareness campaigns, Engineer Younis Al-Suli, Acting CEO of Imam Jabir bin Zaid Waqf Foundation, emphasized that the campaign aims to spread societal awareness about the significance of diversifying the investment portfolio for endowments. This, he believes, will have a positive impact on income diversification, reinforcing the principles of financial sustainability and growth.
Sulaiman bin Jabir Al-Siyabi from ELTIZAM Sharia Financial Consultancy, the Shariah advisor for the Gheras Endowment Investment Fund, clarified that the entry of endowment funds into the securities market represents a qualitative leap for Islamic financial investments. This, in turn, enhances the growth of endowments in alignment with the principles of Islamic law and its noble values.
